Overview
Student goals and capabilities

Student project to develop a digital business solution for your company through the evaluation and resolution of an e-business or marketing challenge. Research will be used to construct solutions for a business problem, prepare a business case, plan implementation, and formally present findings. Students will demonstrate high-level problem solving, communication, decision-making, time management, and teamwork skills. Note: students will review projects and have the final approval.

Expected outcomes and deliverables

Part 1: Initiating Processes: Define the Project; Research the Feasibility

Part 2: Planning Processes: Project Initiation Document (PID); Background; SWOT Analysis; Project Scope; Stakeholders; Risks, Assumptions, Issues; Set Goals (SMART); Scope Statement; Milestones; Gantt Chart; Communication Plan; Risk Management Plan

Part 3: Executing Processes: Team allocation; Resource allocation; Procure; Execute; Track; Communicate; KPI; Quality Deliverables: Cost Tracking; Project Performance

Part 4: Monitoring and Control Processes: Project Performance; Control Schedule; Control Costs; Control Leads and Lags; Control Quality Assurance; Control Communications; Control Risks; Control Stakeholder Engagement

Part 5: Final Report: Properly formatted and complete Bibliography with in-line references; Executive Summary

Note: When your company and project are accepted by the instructor, it is accepted provisionally. Students will review projects and have the final say with a go-ahead. If a student group does not accept your project you will be notified by the instructor.
