Looking to elevate your organization and bring it to the next level? Bring on students from Holland College to be your learner-consultant in a project-based experience. Students will work on one focused project over the experience of the semester, connecting with you as the project plan develops leading into managed project implementation.


Students in this program/experience apply the applications, tools and techniques learned throughout the program. This includes the ability to integrate project processes, collaborate, analyze, strategize and propose/defend unique project solutions.

Expected outcomes and deliverables

Deliverables are negotiable and will seek to align the needs of the students and the organization. 


Firm project deliverables include: 

  1. Project Charter: collaborative development and approval between the student and your organizations representative.
  2. Project-Based Reporting: format and content development with timely execution/distribution.
  3. Project Schedule: develop, update and distribute.
  4. Project Presentation: develop, compose and present a final report detailing the project parameters, actions, inputs/outputs, lessons learned and final outcomes.

Your student will work with your organization to identify your needs and provide actionable recommendations and perform results based tasks drawing from in-depth research and analysis.


Our students have solid experience in a variety of fields from engineering, law, business, construction, tourism and banking. Most of our students are proficient in multiple languages and hold specialized degrees.


Project activities that students can complete may include, but are not limited to: 

  • Developing an approved project problem
  • Proposing project solutions and approaches
  • Creating innovation statements and discussing project impact on the landscape
  • Preparing a project plan containing relevant components
  • Developing processes and procedures
  • Applying business strategies and strategic plans to project solutions
Organizations must answer the following questions to submit a match request to this experience:

Be available for a quick phone/virtual call with the instructor to initiate your relationship and confirm your scope is an appropriate fit for the experience.

Provide a dedicated contact person who is available for weekly/bi-weekly meetings with the students and periodic meetings with the instructor over the duration of the project.

Provide an opportunity for students to present their work and receive feedback.

Provide relevant information and/or data as needed for the project.
