Details

Our company, Amigos Manufacturing Ltd., is a MΓ©tis-owned start-up based in Alberta. We hope to have a platform with features and designs that can enable our target market to view our offerings on a website.

We would like to collaborate with students to produce a design prototype and website draft that helps users navigate our site and find up-to-date information.

This will involve several different steps for the students, including:

  • Conducting desk research on our industry, our target market, and desired website features.
  • Identifying and researching useful web pages that can be included on our website.
  • Designing one-page brand templates for our company (Amigos) and subsidiaries (Caribou)
  • Designing a wireframe prototype for our website and potential logo designs.
  • Prototyping multiple versions of a design that includes the desired website features.
  • Creating new pages for the website, with our assistance in providing the content.

Bonus steps in the process would also include:

  • Recommending potential upgrades or features that can be included in the website
  • Suggesting improvements to the overall website.

By the end of the project, students should demonstrate:

  • Research justifying the creation of new web pages.
  • Creation of new pages for our website.
  • Design of branding.

Deliverables

By the end of the project, students should demonstrate:

  • Understanding of our industry, our target market, and desired website features

  • Verification of the prototype and improvements based on feedback
