The goal of this project is to support the successful execution of the Expo by focusing on sponsorship acquisition and marketing strategy. Learners will work as a team to identify, contact and solicit potential sponsors and exhibitors, leveraging their classroom knowledge of marketing and business development. The project will also involve creating marketing materials and providing strategic input to enhance the event's visibility and appeal. Additionally, learners will assist with pre-event activities and contribute to the coordination of the event on the day itself. This project offers a practical opportunity to apply theoretical knowledge in a real-world setting, focusing on event marketing and sponsorship acquisition.
The deliverables for this project include:
- Registration of 80+ sponsors/exhibitors by October 13, 2025
- Valuable improvements to the company's marketing strategy for this event, including marketing materials.
- Assist company owner with pre-event preparation activities
- Assist with the coordination of the event on event day
Providing specialized knowledge in the project subject area, with industry context.
Sharing knowledge in specific technical skills, techniques, methodologies required for the project.
Direct involvement in project tasks, offering guidance, and demonstrating techniques.
Providing access to necessary tools, software, and resources required for project completion.
Scheduled check-ins to discuss progress, address challenges, and provide feedback.
