Details

In response to impending high tariffs imposed by the US, Canadian businesses are seeking alternative strategies to maintain their competitiveness. Goshen Global aims to assist these businesses by establishing operations in Malaysia and Namibia, facilitating the sourcing of raw materials and equipment, and diversifying markets through exporting Canadian products to ASEAN and African countries. This project involves researching the ASEAN and African markets, identifying potential suppliers and partners, and understanding trade regulations. Additionally, students will draft professional communications to Global Affairs Canada and the Canadian Chamber of Commerce to seek guidance and support. The goal is to equip Canadian businesses with viable options to mitigate the impact of US tariffs and explore new opportunities in the ASEAN and African regions.

Deliverables

- A comprehensive report on the ASEAN market, including potential suppliers, partners, and trade regulations.

- A strategic plan outlining steps for Canadian businesses to diversify their markets and sourcing options.

- Drafted emails to Global Affairs Canada and the Canadian Chamber of Commerce, seeking advice and collaboration opportunities.

- A presentation summarizing findings and recommendations for Goshen Global's strategic expansion into the ASEAN market.
