Sustainability & Community Engagement Initiative
This role focuses on advancing sustainability initiatives on campus by supporting outreach efforts, event coordination, and community engagement. Participants will work closely with the Chapter Coordinator to develop and implement strategies that enhance program operations, volunteer engagement, and sustainability-focused initiatives. This opportunity provides hands-on experience in sustainability programming, leadership, and community engagement while directly supporting impactful campus initiatives.
Outreach Coordinating
Regenesis is seeking to enhance its visibility and strengthen its connections within the academic and local community. The goal of this project is to develop a comprehensive outreach strategy that effectively communicates Regenesis’s initiatives to departments, professors, student clubs, and community organizations. The project will involve researching and identifying key stakeholders and their contacts, crafting engaging content for newsletters and emails, and planning lecture announcements--when necessary. By leveraging these communication channels, the project aims to increase awareness and support for Regenesis’s environmental and sustainability efforts. This initiative provides learners with the opportunity to apply their knowledge of communication strategies and stakeholder engagement in a real-world context, fostering skills in strategic planning and content creation.
Digital Borrowing System for Sustainable Resource Sharing
Regenesis York aims to promote sustainability by encouraging the efficient use of shared resources within the community. The goal of this project is to create and manage a digital borrowing system that allows community members to easily access reusable items. This system will reduce waste and promote the reuse of items such as tools, books, and household goods. The project will involve designing a user-friendly web application that allows users to browse available items, reserve them, and track their borrowing history. The system should also include an administrative interface for managing inventory and user accounts. By implementing this digital borrowing system, Regenesis Toronto hopes to foster a culture of sharing and sustainability within the community.
