This experience is designed for learners from the Data Mining course at Salem State University, who are skilled in both supervised and unsupervised machine learning techniques. Participants are adept at applying classification models, evaluating model performance, and conducting clustering and association rule mining. They are also proficient in data preprocessing and visualization. By collaborating with industry partners, learners can apply their skills to real-world datasets, providing actionable insights and recommendations that can enhance business decision-making processes.
Sustainability: Is It Good for Business?

This is a First-Year Seminar entitled "Sustainability: Is It Good for Business?" Students will complete their 8-hour Bloomberg Environmental, Social, Governance (ESG) certificates and will cover diffferent sustainability topics in class. The learners are capable of doing research, writing social media posts, etc.
Business Statistics and AI-Enhanced Data Analysis – Fall 2025

Our students are enrolled in a Business Statistics course at Salem State University and have foundational training in data analysis, statistical inference, and data visualization. Through this Riipen project, they will: Analyze real-world business data using tools such as Excel and JMP Pro Perform descriptive and inferential statistical analyses (e.g., hypothesis testing, regression) Visualize findings using charts, dashboards, and interactive reports Provide actionable recommendations based on data trends and statistical evidence Collaborate with company partners to refine problem statements and interpret results Optionally design and prototype an AI chatbot (using platforms like Zapier ) to automate tasks such as FAQs, or internal reporting—if the project warrants it.
ITE 340-Create Website and Evaluate User Interfaces

This experience focuses on the principles of Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), where learners explore how to design intuitive and user-friendly interfaces. Participants will have the capability to apply user-centered design methodologies, conduct usability testing, and create interactive prototypes. The objective is to bridge the gap between theoretical HCI concepts and practical application, enabling learners to enhance user experiences in real-world projects.
